EcoHives' primary purpose is to own and deliver ecosystem services. Ecosystem services are provided by the planted vegetation and flowers at the bottom of the park, in the flowerboxes but also on the vertical plantation alternatives offered by the park.
With EcoHive we want to facilitate pollination, offer a place for relaxation and preserve biodiversity
Modularity has been key when designing Ecohive. Every shape of the seated areas has been designed in order for the user to be able to flip and turn them to satisfy different needs and functions for the user.
A housing cooperation could use this park for the purpose of growing vegetables and communal spaces for the residents. A school might want a place where the students can sit in nature and recover for their next class. An office could use the park as a creative meeting place for discussions and ideas. No matter where the park ends up, we want nature to come along, and bring people closer together.
